EVP, Communications

Daisy Wells joined DAZN in early 2022 from London-based communications firm Powerscourt, where she specialised in advising companies operating in complex or controversial sectors to be better understood. Daisy comes from a strategic communications and corporate intelligence background. She began her career working with high-profile individuals from politics and business on their communications strategies and personal narratives. Following this, Daisy moved to Delhi, where she worked for international corporate intelligence firm Control Risks, advising foreign companies on how to navigate opportunities in India. She continued to work in this sector from London until joining Powerscourt in 2017.

Jacopo Tonoli is DAZN Group’s Chief Commercial Officer and is responsible for rights strategy and content acquisition across DAZN, as well as delivering and executing the Group’s global strategic rights partnerships, including WTA Media, FIBA Media, EHF and FC Diez Media. Having joined the business in 2008 as Managing Director for Southern Europe and Latin America, Jacopo oversaw its successful expansion in Italy, Spain, France and across South America, before transferring to London to lead the Group’s Commercial function in 2015. Manabu Yamada is Executive Vice President of DAZN Japan, leading all business in the Japanese market. Manabu has extensive experience in sports and digital business throughout his career, in which his earlier major achievements include the launch of the first official MLB website in Japan, and involvement in the digital strategy for many sports such as the NFL and the J.League clubs. His more recent career highlights include the broadcasting of major sports at media such as J SPORTS, and led Sports Navi, the biggest digital sporting media in Japan, through business developments and partnerships with various sports leagues and entities. Manabu was appointed to the role of President and Representative Director for Sports Navi K.K. in 2018 where he exhibited excellent leadership, and joined DAZN in September 2021 as EVP, as the first Japanese business leader for DAZN Japan.

Non-executive Director

Paul Walker has a wealth of experience, with a strong record of value creation as a FTSE100 Chair and Chief Executive. Paul was appointed as a director and chairman of Ashtead Group and is also Director at Panther TopCo Limited and Chair of RELX PLC (July 2021). He was previously Chair at Perform Group (2011-2018); Wandisco (2014-2016);Halma PLC (since 2013) and European Directories (2011-2012). He has held Non-Executive Director positions at Sophos Group (2015-2020); Experian (2010-2019); Epicor Software Corporation (2011-2016); and Diageo (2002-2011). Walker also took on the role of chair of Newcastle University's governing body in August 2017. He was formerly Chief Executive of Sage PLC the Newcastle-based software accountancy firm (1994-2010), where he was one of the longest serving CEOs of a FTSE 100 company, and began his career at Ernst & Young.
